There is a line.
One of your folks just crossed that line.
I am cool with you fangirling over Seaworld/Loro Parque etc.
I am cool with you swallowing the blatant lies told to you by a multimillion dollar company.
I am not okay with you trivializing the deaths of the animals held at these parks or the human beings who have worked there.
No human being deserves to be treated as just a number.
Well, guess what, one of your folks did just that.
I am pretty much as anti-cap as they come, but I will not stand by and let someone disrespect the people who have died in orca attacks.
Keltie Byrne did not deserve to be drowned when she fell in that pool.
Dawn Brancheau did not deserve to be dragged into the pool by her arm, and held there until she either drowned or died of her injuries.
And Alexis Martinez did not deserve to be crushed to death in the jaws of Keto.
If this is the price we pay for keeping orca in captivity, then it is too high a price.
Keto was born in captivity and raised alongside humans. Yet he still killed a trainer.
Almost all the orca in captivity have documented violent incidents with humans, and many more of these incidents go unreported.
There is not a single record of a wild orca ever killing anybody.
Why can’t you see that there is something wrong with this picture?
